Warm weather in West Central Saskatchewan has called for a mild winter, but hasn't stopped Table Mountain from having a good season.

Dave Cashmore with the Regional Park mentioned that the season did start off fairly slow, however once the weather got colder in mid-December the park was able to get the season going.

"We had a slow start due to a warm fall, but actually the weather has been really good so far this winter."

Snow at the hill is in great shape despite the warm weather. Cashmore said that the warm weather coming this weekend won't have any affect on the current hill conditions, as they usually have an average of 18 inches to 2 feet of snow on the slopes at all times.

"Actually the snow is in really good shape, we just got another little fresh snow last night again and we are supposed to get some warm weather this weekend but that shouldn't bother us at all."

Table Mountain is currently open for all skiers and snowboarders to hit the slopes, however Cashmore explained that an end date for this season is yet to be determined.

Cashmore said the hill has school's booked until near the end of the month, but are unsure if they will be open for the Easter break.
