Western Prairie Female Hockey is on banner watch this weekend.

The U15 Western Prairie Thunderbolts are set to take on the South Sask Renegades in the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League's U15 A provincial final series. Game 1 is being played on Friday night at 6:00 PM from the Unity Community Centre.

The Thunderbolts are representing the leagues North Division, the Rouleau based Renegades coming out of the South Division. Both teams used sweeps in the semi-finals to move into the championship round. The Thunderbolts had a 13-5-2 record in the regular season to finish second in the North West Division behind Delisle.

Western Prairie Female Hockey has several teams across the SFHL. The region utilizes west-central Saskatchewan in it's entirety, pulling players from Biggar, Kindersley, Dinsmore, Dodsland, Eatonia, Elrose, Eston, Kerrobert, Kyle, Macklin, Outlook, and Wilkie. Western Prairie also features AA teams at each of the U13, U15, and U18 levels.

After Game 1 on Friday night, Game 2 is set for 4:00 PM Sunday in Rouleau, and then if-needed, Game 3 would take place Tuesday, March 26 back in Unity at 6:00 PM.
