Highlighting the calls to service for the Unity, Macklin, and Wilkie RCMP detachments from June 15 to June 22 was a 41 year-old male being charged with Assault with a weapon, and other various gun related offenses in the Town of Scott back on June 15.  

On June 22nd, Unity RCMP arrested a 41 year-old male in Unity, Saskatchewan at approximately 3:45PM for Assault with a Weapon for an incident that occurred in the Town of Scott on June 15th. The male was to have appeared in Court June 21st, but had not attended as per the conditions of his release for Assault and two breaches of conditions from an Assault in Wilkie reported May 11th, 2021.  At the time of his arrest the male was found to have been driving while disqualified, in the company of a person he was on conditions to have no contact with, and in possession of alcohol contrary to his conditions of release.  At the time of his arrest the male was found to be in possession of a loaded sawed-off rifle.

Darryl Glenn SOLLOSY (41) of the Wilkie District appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court yesterday morning to face the previous charges plus the following additional charges:

1.       Careless Transportation of a firearm.

2.       Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

3.       Possession of a Prohibited Weapon without a License.

4.       Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with ammunition.

5.       Possession of a Prohibited Firearm in a vehicle.

6.       Possession of a Prohibited Firearm that is not registered.

7.       Possession of Break and Enter Instruments

8.       Operation of a Motor Vehicle while Prohibited.

9.       Failing to Keep the Peace while on a Release Order.

10.   Possession of Firearm while prohibited by a Release Order.

11.   Possession of Ammunition while prohibited by a Release Order

12.   Possession of Alcohol while prohibited by a Probation Order.

 

Also in Unity, a 46-year-old male was charged with assault after a Member received a complaint of a domestic dispute. There was also a report of theft of fuel from a local gas station in Unity. Members contacted the subject of complaint who returned to pay for the fuel. In Wilkie, RCMP received a report of a suspicious individual loitering outside a business. Members attended and assisted the individual in locating lodging. And also in Wilkie, a 31-year-old female from Battleford was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime after Members received a notification from Saskatoon Police Service.

UNITY REPORTS

· RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats. This matter is still under investigation.

· Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and ensured they were in the care of a family member.

· CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction near Tramping Lake. Reported for information purposes.

· RCMP received a complaint of garbage left in a recycle bin. Members located the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

· A 46-year-old male from Unity was charged with assault after a Member received a complaint of a domestic dispute.

· CN Police reported four railway crossing malfunctions in Unity this week. Reported for information purposes.

· Members are investigating a complaint of theft.

· Police received a report of theft of fuel from a local gas station. Members contacted the subject of complaint who returned to pay for the fuel.

· There were also two noise complaints and two traffic complaints.

WILKIE REPORTS

· RCMP received a report of a lost bicycle. The bike was not located.

· Members are investigating a vehicle fire near Wilkie.

· Police received a complaint of harassing communications. This matter is still under investigation.

· RCMP received a report of a suspicious individual loitering outside a business. Members attended and assisted the individual in locating lodging.

· A 31-year-old female from Battleford was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime after Members received a notification from Saskatoon Police Service.

· CN Police reported damaged railway crossing gate near Reford. Reported for information purposes.

· There were also five traffic complaints and one false 911 call.

MACKLIN REPORT

· RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Member transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.

· Members are investigating a complaint of harassing communications.

· Police received a complaint of defamatory libel. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

· A 35-year-old male from Edmonton was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle after Members received a complaint of an impaired driver.
