In the most recent report of calls for the Unity, Wilkie and Macklin detachments it was revealed that the Unity RCMP received a complaint of an individual not properly self-isolating. Members of the local RCMP did respond to the call and talked with the individual that was the subject of the complaint. In the release the RCMP stated they issued a verbal warning. Towards the beginning of the month the Saskatchewan RCMP stated they would focus on education and awareness of the public health orders before issuing the harsher penalties.

Other highlights from the report of calls for the week end April 13th include:

UNITY:

  • RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.
  • Police attended a single vehicle rollover on Highway 29 north of Wilkie. The vehicle driver sustained minor injuries. No charges were laid. The road conditions were icy at the time of the collision.
  • Members received a complaint of theft but it was unfounded.
  • RCMP received a complaint of theft. When Members arrived, the stolen property was back in the possession of the owner. A 23-year-old female from Mosquito First Nation was charged with four counts of Failure to Comply with Probation Order after Members located her intoxicated in public. The complainant requested no further action be taken.

WILKIE:

 MACKLIN:

  •  RCMP received a complaint of an individual failing to comply with a condition of a recognizance. This matter is still under investigation.
  •  Members assisted an individual by offering transportation to a vehicle after the individual had obtained fuel for the vehicle.
  •  Police received a complaint of an individual knocking on the windows of a residence. Members attended but could not locate a subject of complaint.
