The RCMP released their reports for The West Central Region between the weeks of April 30th to May 6th 2019. This report details the events that occurred in the towns of Unity, Wilkie and Macklin.

In Unity, there were two traffic complaints and two false alarms called in. Along with a complaint of harassing communications, the matter is still currently under investigation. Members also conducted a wellbeing check at the request of Health Services. Police received a report of a traffic collision north of Unity. There were no injuries and no charges were laid. RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. Reported for insurance purposes. Members are also investigating a complaint of fraud. Police received a report of damage to a vehicle the matter is still under investigation. Police received a report of damage to a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation. Police received a complaint of uttering threats. Members spoke to the complainant. CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Unity. Reported for information purposes. Members acted as mediators in a report of an argument between two adults.

In Wilkie, was one traffic complaint along with one false alarm. RCMP received several reports regarding the behaviour of a child. Members are working with the school, Child and Family Services and the child’s parents. A 35-year-old Wilkie male was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle during a traffic stop after receiving a complaint of an erratic driver. Police received a report of damage to a vehicle. Reported for insurance purposes. RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter into outbuildings at a rural yard near Wilkie. This matter is still under investigation. Police received a report of a suspicious person in a residence back yard. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of the complaint. Members acted as mediators in a dispute between two individuals. RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke with the subject of the complaint. Members conducted a well-being check at the request of a neighbour. Police received a complaint of an intoxicated individual at a residence. Members attended but the complainant requested no further action be taken. Members acted as mediators in a neighbour dispute.

In Macklin, RCMP received a complaint of theft from a motor vehicle. This matter is still under investigation. Police received a report of theft at Macklin Lake Regional Park. There are no suspects at this time. There was also one traffic complaint.
