For the second time in less than a week emergency crews responded to another terrible accident on Highway 7.

Shortly before 6:00pm last night, emergency crews responded to an accident between a car and a semi trailer just a few miles west of Delisle on highway 7. As a result of the incident traffic was diverted in both the east and west bound lanes.

STARS was dispatched to the scene and the driver of the car was airlifted to Saskatoon. No update on their condition has been made available at this time.

An accident reconstruction crew remained on scene for an investigation. They concluded their work and the highway was reopened around 1:30am this morning.

The accident occurred less than a week after Kindersley emergency crews responded to a fatal collision involving a car and recreational vehicle on August 25th, again also on highway 7. Both should serve as stark reminders of the importance of being careful on the busy highway.
