Vaughn Watterodt and the Saskatoon Blades completed their historic comeback over the Red Deer Rebels last night, winning the deciding game 7, 5-2.

The Rosetown native got the goal to seal the victory, and Spencer Shugrue was the scoring star for the Blades, getting a pair of goals including the game winner.

With the win, Saskatoon joins just two other WHL teams to come back from a 3-0 series deficit.

The other two were the Spokane Chiefs in 1996 and the Portland Winter Hawks in 2013.

The Blades will begin their Eastern Conference Final series against the Winnipeg ICE this Saturday on the road. Game time in the Manitoba capital is 3:05 pm Saskatchewan time.
