Rosetown curler Connor Olivier and his team from the Rosetown Curling Club qualified for the U-18 curling provincial championship after this past weekend’s qualifying bonspiel in Melfort. Oliver and his team had to take the tough way out of the event as they qualified in the C event after losing two games on the weekend.

But the team won it’s final match up against Team Snow 7-4 and will be heading to Granite, Saskatchewan for the provincial tournament to be held March 25-29.

Kerrobert’s Brad Heidt and his team from the Kerrobert curling club were in action this past weekend as well at the senior men’s north qualifier in Nipawin. Team Heidt will also be moving on to the provincial senior men’s curling championship after qualifying in the C event yesterday.

The team knocked off Team Joyce 8-1 in the C qualifier yesterday in Nipawin and will head to provincials in Saskatoon starting on February 26 and going until March 1 at the Nutana Curling Club.
