Playoffs in the Sask West Hockey League(SWHL) and Sask Valley Hockey League(SVHL) are on to the second round.

The Biggar Nationals went into the SWHL playoffs as the 8th seed, but played far superior to their label. Forcing the top ranked Wilkie Outlaws to comeback in Game 1, and failing to win the 8-5 shootout in Game 2 means the Nationals season is over. In provincials however, the Nationals went into Kinistino for Game 1 of that series, and escaped with a hard fought 2-1 win to give the team the chance to move on Saturday night at home. They did exactly that, winning 4-2 to take the series. Biggar will play Birch Hills in the second round of provincial playoffs after the Blackhawks knocked off Unity in two straight.

The Delisle Bruins faced the Kenaston Blizzards after finishing as a mid tier team in the SVHL this past season. Delisle traveled to Kenaston for Game 1 and scored 6 goals on the road to upset the Blizzards, winning 6-3. Game 2 went three days later in Delisle, with the road team claiming victory again as the Bruins let one get away, losing 6-5. With the series set to be decided on Sunday, Delisle traveled back to Kenaston and was unable to keep the road team luck going, losing 6-4. Forward Brandt Wiebe had an exceptional season for the team, scoring 17 goals and finishing with 30 points in 19 games, as well as 6 points in the 3 game series, to lead the Bruins in scoring. Delisle will be moving onto the second round of provincials, after winning 5-3 at home against Tisdale.

In the midst of trying to become Saskatchewan's first ever Hockeyville 2020 winner, the Dinsmore Dynamos had an exciting first round series with the Eston Ramblers. The Ramblers took Game 1 at home 6-3. In Game 2 the teams tied 1-1 after the first period, and Eston came back to lead after the second period. The lead was safe until the Dynamos tied the game at 2 with less than five minutes of play remaining. Matt Jones of Dinsmore then scored the go ahead goal minutes later, and an empty netter sealed the game for the Hockeyville hopefuls. A tense Game 3 was played Sunday night in Eston, but the Ramblers took care of business going up on the Dynamos 4-1 in the third, and not looking back for an eventual 5-2 victory. The Dynamos season will continue, with their provincial series against the Davidson Cyclones in which they are currently up in the series, 1-0.
