Avid readers in Wilkie have claimed their library the Wheatland Reading Cup for 2023.
West-central Saskatchewan had a strong showing in general taking three spots in the top five as Kyle finished second, and Rosetown came in fifth.
The Wheatland Regional Library’s 2023 summer reading program saw 27 community libraries competing to win the Wheatland Reading Cup, a friendly competition that saw Wilkie readers amass over 140,000 minutes towards the two million minutes total needed for the region.
They did their reading through summer programs at the library, and now they get to celebrate! Event details should be coming out on the Wilkie Wheatland Library and Wheatland Regional Library Facebook pages in the near future.
