Kindersley’s Kinley Hildebrandt had a wish come true when she was given the nod for a much needed liver transplant over a year ago, however, she recently found out – another wish is also coming true.

Seven-year-old Kinley has been selected by the Make-a-Wish Foundation to have one of her biggest wishes come true – to go to Disney World.

Kinley’s mom, Candis, shared that the process started back in 2018 and at that time, Kinley’s wish was to receive a specific doll. Although a humble wish, Candis encouraged her to think big and asked her who she’s always wanted to meet or where she as always wanted to go. Kinley’s response, “To become a princess at Disney World”.

Although the princess part may be left up to the creative imagination of Kinley, Candis and the rest of her family – the Disney World part of the equation will be taken care of in full by the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

When Candis was asked, who is more excited, her or Kinley, she had to pause.

“Oh I don’t event know – don’t get me wrong she is very excited, but I’m not sure she knows how awesome this is going to be. We’ve spent so much time apart as a family over the past while with the transplant that this will be a much needed getaway where we can all go and just have some fun – I’m very excited,” said Candis.

It will be at least a year before the wish is realized though, as COVID-19 is still a prominent threat.

“Of course we need to make sure that it is safe to go so it could be a year or more before we go – even after Disney World re-opens, we want it to be back up fully with all the characters there and again, making sure it’s totally safe for us to go,” shared Candis.

Despite the delay, it is still some very exciting news for Kinley and the entire Hildebrandt family.
