Gas will be just as expensive as it once was back in 2014, except for major cities in the province like Saskatoon and Regina. Senior Petroleum Analyst Dan McTeague explained why this will be happening.

"Lack of pipelines to the United States means that a lot of Canadian oil is being stranded and it is being discounted. We’re not getting in Canada $61 a barrel, we are getting maybe $35, $36 if we are lucky."

If there is one positive thing to take from this, it's that citizens in Saskatchewan have yet to pay for a carbon tax.

However, most citizens in the province will have issues paying what they're being asked to do so to fuel up for the majority of the 2018 calendar year.
