The month of June always seems to be one of the busiest times of the year for communities.

Students are preparing for final exams and activities to cap off the school year. Youth are busy with extra-curricular summer activities such as rodeos and baseball. The warmer weather allows for more people to go out and see what is happening around town.

Usually, traffic begins to pick up within the Town of Kindersley at the beginning of June because of the different events occuring in the municipality. The Kindersley and District Chamber of Commerce (KDCC) Trade Show happens to be one of the reasons why it seemed busy in the town this past weekend.

This year's trade show offered a large variety for residents to check out. Everything from the different local and visiting businesses, entertainment for all ages, and even the great food selection on location.

"You want to have something for the kids, parents, men, and something for the women," said Heather Wall, a member of the KDCC. "There was a little bit of something for everybody."

About 1,800 people made their way to the trade show this year, which spoke volumes about the sights and sounds presented at this year's event.

The Chamber of Commerce was very appreciative for the uncanny support offered by businesses and residents throughout the community as well.

Eatonia's Mitch Larock and the 4:54 Band provided live tunes with an acoustic set during the trade show, and the Kindersley Storm Soccer Club helped visitors start their morning right with a pancake breakfast. "It's just the little things we're adding to make it that much better for the community."
