Some local talent was featured among the provinces best at this past weekends Sask First Male U15 Top 80 tournament. In a change of events, Graydon Neumeier wasn't the only U15 AA West Central Wheat Kings player on the ice this past weekend in Balgonie.

Kaine Thiessen was a late addition to the roster. WestCentralOnline spoke with Wheat Kings head coach Zane Hayes after only Neumeier was named to the Top 80 portion in January.

Thiessen and Neumeier were lined up as part of Team Gold at the recent talent showcase. Team Gold finished the round robin at 1-1-1, and eventually lost to Team Red 9-4 in the B Final.

Lucky Lake's Jake Hargrave was another west-central based player at the event. Hargrave is a member of the Swift Current U15 Broncos, and was part of Team Red at the tournament.
