Prairie Sky Recovery, located nearly 30 kilometers south of Wilkie is offering a free addictions program for the holiday season.

Previously known as the Leipzig Serenity Retreat, Prairie Sky Recovery is an addictions treatment centre on a 6 acre property in West Central Saskatchewan.

The centre offers a 5 week 12-step narcotics and Alcoholics Anonymous program, along with emotional wellness, and lifestyle programs that deal with resentment, distress, anger, and other similar issues.

Jacqueline Hoffman, CEO of Prairie Sky Recovery spoke about the benefits of the program.

The centre was founded by Hoffman's mother, Ardyth Wilson, who celebrated 32 years of sobriety this month.

Prairie Sky Recovery is currently a 24 bed facility, but will accommodate extra participants if more decide to join during the holiday season.
Participants will only need to pay for room and board, and will save $5,000 on the program which begins November 21st and finishes just before Christmas on December 23rd.
The centre hires 12 full time employees, many of which are in recovery themselves, so the people seeking treatment can identify with the staff.
