It is the time of year when people are taking to the streets for summer activities such as biking and walking.

Its important to be aware of the rules. If there are no sidewalks, pedestrians are to walk facing traffic in single file. Bicycles are considered vehicles and should follow the same rules as vehicles in town.

Other activities we see going on this season are ATV's and dirtbikes. Staff Sergeant Wally Lynds of the Kindersley RCMP explains that ATV's and dirtbikes are not to be operated in the town. The RCMP has a problem with people driving golf carts in town aswell.

People using skateboards and rollerblades are considered pedestrians when in town. Reflectors are mandatory when out after dark. Go to info@saskatoonsafety.org for more information on night safety.
