One week from today, June 1st, the pool in Biggar will open it's doors. This will mark the first year that the pool is using solar panels for heating.
They completed putting the solar panels in last fall.
Jordan Schechpel, Biggar Recreation Director, explained that they used to heat the pool using a commercial boiler. The boiler will now only be used as back-up.
