It is no secret that 2008 was an exceptional year for Saskatchewan.

Most of the country has been going through economic turmoil but Saskatchewan weathered the storm better than many other provinces.

Bill Boyd, Kindersley MLA, says he is cautiously optimistic about the future. Agriculture in the grains and seeds did well and mining was off the charts. Growth and land sales were good indidcators that the province was thriving.

In the future, Boyd hopes to see continued and steady growth in 2009.
