Update May 6, 2020, 6:24 pm: 

Sergeant Jason Waldner with the RCMP has confirmed that the fire has been put out and Highway 4 has been reopened. Sgt. Waldner stated there were no injuries, however, the farmyard did sustain damage to some outbuildings and structures. 

At this point, Sgt. Waldner said the cause of the fire was due to a burning barrel which spread as the wind picked up. Both the Rosetown Fire Department and Elrose Fire Department fought the fire, with the assistance of neighbouring farmers and the local R.M.
