Kerrobert Minor Hockey has been staying busy to start the 2023-24 season. President Jerry Shepherd talks about some fundraisers the group has done already this season.

We've done a few fundraisers so far. We did the Halloween dance there and a pulled pork BBQ for the Harvest Festival, and they were both pretty good successes.”

Shepherd then explained what they have up their sleeves for fundraisers in the new year.

“We plan on doing hopefully some more in the new year, just little micro-ones.”

Minor Hockey Day for the community will be held on December 16, Shepherd added.

He also shared they have a hockey draft running through office pools as a fundraiser, and started a power skating program which ran the first week of October. The program will be an annual occurrence.

Also going on in Kerrobert is the U18 KDL team changing their name and colours from the Tigers to the Rage for the 2023-24 season.

There is also a referee clinic going on at the Kerrobert Composite School on November 26. More information on how to officiate this season can be found here.
