The Unity, Wilkie, Macklin RCMP report has come out showing our officers working hard within the community. The report spans the period between March 26, and April 1.

UNITY REPORTS 

  • RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter at a business but it was unfounded. 

  • A 42-year-old male from Unity was charged with Assault on Police Officer, Resist Peace Officer and Mischief after Members received a complaint of an intoxicated individual at a residence. 

  • Police received a complaint of assault but there was insufficient evidence to proceed. 

  • Members are investigating a complaint of a break and enter at a business. 

  • RCMP received a report of a coyote in Unity. Members patrolled but could not locate the animal. 

  • Police received a complaint of theft. The complainant declined to proceed. 

  • RCMP received a report of a noise that sounded like a gunshot. Members patrolled but could not locate the origin of the sound. 

  • Members received a report of an abandoned vehicle in a rural area near Unity. The vehicle was not stolen and not a traffic hazard. 

  • Police received a report of an individual damaging a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation. 

  • There was also one traffic complaint, one false alarm and one false 911 call 

WILKIE REPORTS 

  • RCMP received a complaint of trespassing. The subject of complaint was gone on arrival. Insufficient evidence to proceed. 

  • A 29-year-old male from Wilkie was charged with Theft Under $5000, Mischief and two counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order Condition after Members received a complaint of a break and enter at a residence. 

  • Police received a complaint of trespassing. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint. 

  • RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint. 

  • Members are investigating a complaint of theft.

MACKLIN REPORTS 

  • RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint. 

  • Police received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes. 

  • Members received a request to attend a residence with Child and Family Services. 

  • RCMP issued a 72-hour roadside suspension during a traffic stop. 

  • An individual reported locating a firearm in a rural area. This matter is still under investigation. 

  • Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 14 near Macklin. There were no injuries and not charges were laid. 

  • RCMP received a complaint of harassing communications. This matter is still under investigation. 

  • Members are investigating a complaint of assault. 

  • Members received a request to keep the peace while an individual retrieved personal property from a residence. 

  • There was also one traffic complaint.
