Fuel prices are going to be going up thanks to an increase in carbon pricing.

As of April 1 st:

the carbon tax on gasoline will increase to 17 cents per liter,

Diesel will be going to 21 cents per liter

15 cents per meter of natural gas.

The provincial government on january 1st of this year has already made it so Saskatchewan residents no longer need to pay the tax on natural gas but other taxes have not been addressed so far.

The federal environment minister Steven Guilbeault has expressed his disdain for the premier for cutting the carbon tax for residents, calling the move “immoral”.
