Creative Kids is an organization that gives underprivileged youth and children in Saskatchewan the chance to be creative using activities such as in art lessons, dance classes, music lessons, and many other similar activities in their community.

The purpose of the program is to give all kids a chance to participate in cultural activities regardless of their social limitations or family’s income.

Parents can apply by discussing the expenses and details with an instructor of an activity that their child is interested in and complete the application on the Creative Kids website.
Completed applications from West Central Saskatchewan can be dropped off at the West Central Events Centre in Kindersley.

The entirety of any donation given to Creative Kids will go to helping children.

Kindersley Creative Kids will be hosting a Motown Christmas Cabaret on Friday at 8 p.m. at Elks Hall. The event will feature Motown super-group Heidi Munro and Big Stuff from Saskatoon who have been making crowds dance for decades.

Tickets will also include a midnight lunch, and all proceeds will go towards supporting kids in the Kindersley area through Creative Kids. If tickets are not sold out, they will be available at the door.

Kindersley Creative Kids Chair Mei Shan Wan talked about how the event came to be.
“We were approached by the provincial committee to host an event with Heidi Munro and Big
Stuff. We were excited about this opportunity to bring something different to the community. Our
committee thought this would be a fun fundraiser to hold. We want to have the community come
out and dance. It’s a perfect time for Christmas work parties too.”
