Christmas is fast approaching, and with all the hussle and bussle it is easy to forget about fire safety.

Rod Stevens, Deputy Cheif in charge of public education, says leaving candles unattended causes the most problems at Christmas. He says it is also important to keep real Christmas trees watered to prevent them from drying out.

And reminds residents to not overload outlets. If a breaker blows, use another outlet for appliances instead of installing a heavier breaker.
