Rosetown and Kindersley held celebrations over the weekend to celebrate Canada's 150th Birthday. Music performances, dances and art made up the course of the weekend.

The West Central Registered Music Teachers Association organized the event this year, and made sure that there was plenty of variety for all of the citizens in West Central Saskatchewan.

Music dominated the evening with choirs performing songs, as well as jazz, classical, fiddle and other local bands getting their chance to shine in the spotlight. Solo performances took place with different singers from all over the province coming out.

The event was held at the Rosetown United Church Upper Hall and saw a full crowd to celebrate the incredible feast of 150 years. The Kindersley event was held at the Kindersley United Church Upper Hall which

West Central Music Teachers Association have agreed to donate half of the profits from the weekend events to the local music program to become a more advanced program. The community has always supported local music and will continue to strive for a better local program.

Canadian celebrations for the 150th Birthday will continue throughout the summer, especially during the July Long weekend when Canada Day falls on July 1st/2017.
