The Delisle Chiefs of the PJHL played in a mid week affair last night at home versus the Saskatoon Westleys. This was the first of three game for the Chiefs before Christmas, all being played at home.

Delisle came out on top against the Westleys on a 2 goal effort by Luke Dyer and a big night from Austin Linnen, who scored two as well to go along with a helper in the 6-3 win. Rookie Jackson Helperl had two assists, and so did Thomas Bollefer in the victory for the Chiefs.

Next action for Delisle is tomorrow night against the Saskatoon Royals at 8 pm and then the team will wrap up 2019 on Saturday against the Carrot River Thunder. The Chiefs have a 14-6-1 mark on the season which is good for second in the north division.

Plenty’s Chad Westman continues to lead the team in scoring with 38 points in 21 games with Jaden Shewchuk in Second with 32 in 20 games and Austin Linnen in third with 30 points in 21 games.

Dinsmore native and defenseman Parker Atkinson has played solid on the back end putting up 10 points in 20 games while staying out of the penalty box only having 4 PIM during the season.
