High school football is officially back with teams playing their first regular season game of the year on Friday night or Thursday night.

In 2A 6-Man Football, Rosetown traveled to Aberdeen where they earned a 46-5 victory to improve their record to 1 win and 0 losses. Rosetown will host Clavet in Week 2 for their home opener.

The Biggar Blazers started their season on the road as well in Hafford in a 49-20 defeat to stand at 0 wins and 1 loss. Biggar will host Aberdeen at home in Week 2 looking for their first win.

Outlook lost their season opener to Dalmeny 71-36 to join Biggar with 0 wins and 1 loss. Outlook will get a Bye in Week 2, but will take on Rosetown in Week 3 of the season.

In 1A 6-Man Football, the team from Plenty got their year started with a win over Eatonia 87-24. The defending provincial championships dominated, and look to be a force again this season. Plenty will have their home opener next week against Macklin.

In the other 1A match-up in the same conference, Kerrobert took down Macklin in their season opener. Kerrobert showed that they have what it takes to compete with Plenty and other teams of that caliber later on in the season. Kerrobert will take on Eatonia in Week 2.

In 9-Man Football, the Delisle Rebels played their Week 1 match-up on the road in Martensville where they came out with a 48-0 win. Delisle will host Kindersley for the home opener in Week 2.

Other games in the conference included Kindersley traveling to North Battleford against the school of John Paul II. Kindersley earned an 18-7 win and will stay on the road Week 2 against Delisle.
