We could continue to see the weather deteriorate throughout the day, as poor visibility has joined the mix of conditions affecting people on West Central roadways today.

Ice covered and other slippery roads are being noted all around the region. Highway 4 south of Elrose is still reporting Travel Not Recommended, and the rest of the area has been reporting Winter Driving Conditions all morning long.

This morning's forecast from Environment Canada is showing that freezing rain could be a problem today. The rain drops have already began to fall this morning, as the report for the day also noted a 30% chance of flurries.

Roadways were already icy last night. West Central Online received a call during the evening that it was glare ice on Highway 21 southbound from Kindersley all the way to Rosana Road.

For the most part Monday night's icy roads have carried into the morning, and rainy conditions early Tuesday aren't going to be making them much better as caution will be necessary for anyone travelling this morning.

Current updates around West Central have icy roads throughout, and travel is officially not being recommended south of Elrose. Poor visibility is also being noted on the routes for Cabri and area south of the river.

Take your time during this morning's commute, and check the Highway Hotline for updated information.
