It was an exciting night for hockey in West Central Saskatchewan.

In the Sask West Hockey League,  The Unity Miners defeated the Kindersley Red Lions 5-1 with a great game from Adam Shirley and Mark Gantner. Miners goalie Stephen Wolff faced 52

shots and stopped all but 1.

At one point Kindersley out shot Unity 12-1 and couldn't score, leaving room for Unity to take advantage of a power play goal and never looked back.

The Biggar Nationals won over the Macklin Mohawks with a score of 10-2.  This leaves the Nationals with a 5-2 record.

The Nationals take on the Wilkie Outlaws tonight at the Unity Community Centre at 8pm.

The Outlaws are then set to take on the Unity Miners on Sunday at 4pm at the Unity Community Centre.

The Sask Valley Hockey League saw equally exciting ice time yesterday.

The Eston Ramblers gained victory over the Beechy Bombers in a score of 10-3.  

The Ramblers now hold a 4-1 record while the Bombers stand at a record of 4-3.

The Kyle Elks won against the Dinsmore Lucky Lake Dynamoe in a game of 6-2.

The Elks take on the Central Butte Flyers tonight on home ice at 8pm.

The Dynamoes play in Dinsmore tonight against the Elrose Aces at 7:30pm.

The Delisle Bruins are set to take on the Loreburn 19ers tonight in the Delisle Arena at 8pm.

And the Eston Ramblers are set to go against the Outlook Ice Hawks at the Jim Cook Centre in Outlook at 8pm.

In the Sask Junior Hockey League, The Kindersley Klippers won over the Notre Dame Hounds in a score of 3-2.  The Klippers now hold a 15-11 record.

The Klippers are ready to take on the Weyburn Redwings tonight at 7:30pm in the West Central Events Centre.
