Whether it's running track, throwing something as big as a javelin, or as small as a dart; some great athletic opportunities exist thanks to the Royal Canadian Legion.

Coming up later this month, Saskatchewan Command Provincial darts will be held in Maple Creek from March 24-26th. The form to sign up is available here, and can be sent to legion@sasktel.net.

Darts is often a popular activity for Legion members, as the local branch out of Kindersley has been hosting their very own night:

That is a nice winter activity, though later on this summer, the Legion will be turning their focus to some student athletes.

Many people might not even know that the Legion holds a National Track and Field Championship every year. It is open to high school athletes, as up to 200 high school aged athletes from across Saskatchewan will be at the Provincial Track and Field Camp in Regina this July 4-8. After that there will be only 25 athletes who qualify for the 2023 games taking place in Sherbrooke, Quebec from August 9-15th:

Legion members are encouraged to share these opportunities with their peers. The group has so much to offer, and programs like this are what will help keep the Royal Canadian Legion alive for future generations to compete as well.
