Despite the cold and snowy weather, grade 10 students from the Outlook High School took part in a mock crash with emergency services from the area. The mock crash simulated the consequences from impaired driving.

The day continued with presentations from the RCMP, OT and physiotherapists, an addictions counsellor, EMT and paramedics, and funeral services.

It was a heavy dose of potential reality all day and was capped off with a presentation by former Humbolt Bronco goalie Jacob Wasserman, who shared his journey beginning five years ago, to how he struggled and has overcome some incredible hardships.

The PARTY Program, which stands for Prevent Alcohol and Risk-related Trauma in Youth, will continue its way around the West Central region later this spring, as it will be at the Kindersley Composite School on May 30.
