It's National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week

It's National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week, dedicated to emphasizing the critical need for more donors throughout Canada.

Individuals are encouraged to register their decisions and discuss organ donation with loved ones.

This especially came to light due to the Logan Boulet effect, after the Humboldt Broncos player's organs saved six players in the deadly crash just over five years ago.

Organ donation is a very simple process here in Saskatchewan, and can be done by registering at www.givelifesask.ca. 

Nobody knows the importance of organ donation more then Kinley Hildebrandt, as she needed an organ transplant after she was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a rare liver disease at very young age.
