It was another tough loss for the Kindersley Jr. Klippers Saturday night in Flin Flon. Kindersley came out with a better effort early on, but all the play in the Bombers zone was kept to the outside by their defense, and most of the shots throughout the night were easy saves for Flin Flon goaltender Kenneth Marquart.

The Jr. Klippers had some powerplay chances in the opening period, as Jacob Vockler got this stick up on Brock Evans on a follow through of a shot. Evans was no worse for wear, as the stick hit his visor. The powerplay was stagnant, and just after the teams got back to full strength, Flin Flon got on the board, as Cory King went upstairs on Kindersley goaltender Logan Falk, on a nice setup from Jaeden Mercier for his 10th assist of the season, the second helper went to Vockler.

Then the Jr. Klippers got a bit of break, as Lucky Lake product Jaydon Jessiman, took down Jaxon Martens in front of the net and Martens was given the gate for goaltender interference as he bumped into Falk. However, Kindersley once again could not capitalize on the powerplay.

As the opening period wound down, Kindersley's John Vanden Elzen and Flin Flon's Matt Egan got tied up in the corner and decided drop their sticks and gloves and go at it. Vanden Elzen got one shot in, but Egan managed to get a couple of wacks in as they both fell to the ice. The fight seemed to energize the Bombers even more, and they took it to Kindersley from there on out.

Moving into the second period, the Bombers really took over this game, and if it wasn't for the superb goaltending of Logan Falk for the second evening in a row, the score would have been more lopsided. The Bombers finally solved Falk halfway through the period, as Mercier got on the board, on a nice passing play on a Flin Flon powerplay, as he fired one home from the point with Jeremi Tremblay standing out front.

The third period was a microcosm of the whole entire game for Kindersley, as Flin Flon had more shots in the period (21), then Kindersley had in the entire game (20). Joey Lies got his first SJHL goal on what turned into a 4-on-2 rush, as he went over the shoulder of Falk. This was scored on bench penalty for too many men on the ice. Frustrated, Kindersley spent most of the period in the sin bin, which was one of the main causes of the shot output by Flin Flon. Josh Pufahl got a couple of minor penalties, and Ethan Scriven slashed Bombers captain Lucas Fry late, which caused another powerplay for Flin Flon. This time the Bombers capitalized, as Vockler finished a nice passing play started by Alex Von Sprecken and then a nice feed from Brent Gulenchyn.

Final Score Jr. Klippers 0 - 4 Bombers, shots 52-20 Bombers

Kindersley was outplayed and outclassed in this weekend's series with the Bombers, and now have a long stretch at home ahead of them. It starts with Alumni Weekend coming up at the West Central Events Centre, starting with the Estevan Bruins in town Friday night at 7:30, and then the Melfort Mustangs on Saturday night also at 7:30. A positive from Saturday's game was the play of Lucky Lake product Jaydon Jessiman, who looked great for the Jr. Klippers in his debut, getting some scoring chances, and making some nice hits as well.
