The Kindersley Jr. Klippers continued their five game home stand last night with revenge on their minds. Kindersley faced the Notre Dame Hounds last night at the WCEC, a team that has beaten them the last 3 times out.

The Klippers took a 2-1 lead on a goal by captain Brendon Borbely from a sharp angle and that’s the way it stayed after one. The Hounds took the lead early in the second but Kindersley battled back on another goal by Borbely and took the lead 4-3 on a goal by Sean Michalevich.

The Klippers peppered goaltender Riley Kohonick for the second straight game against Notre Dame and this time they were successful, scoring 5 times, with the insurance marker going to Scott McKenzie early in the third, and Kindersley held on to a 5-3 win.

Kindersley sits with a 21-23-6-1 record heading into play this weekend, which is 4 points behind the Humboldt Broncos for the eighth and final playoff spot in the SJHL. Kindersley has six games remaining in the regular season to try and get into the post season.

The Klippers will finish off their home stand against the Yorkton Terriers in Saturday. And will have just two more games at home after that starting with the Melville Millionaires next Tuesday.
