Justen Close is headed back to school.

The former Kindersley Jr. Klippers goaltender has unfinished business at the University of Minnesota after a pair of heartbreaking runs to the NCAA's Frozen Four.

Many were wondering what the Kindersley native Close was thinking after another season between the pipes for a young Golden Gophers team, and the veteran goaltender answered that question on Wednesday with his commitment to a fifth and final year of eligibility.

Close was on the initial list of finalists for the nation's top goalie last year, and collected multiple Big Ten honours as well.

The Golden Gophers lost a couple of players to the pros. A big decision still looms with Arizona Coyotes prospect Logan Cooley, who might just be tempted to go back to the Gophers after the stadium fiasco currently taking place down in Phoenix.

While the rest of the team might look a little different, their crease will still feature the same cool, calm, Saskatchewan skillset next season.
