Kerrobert's Ducks unlimited committee is known as one of the top fundraising committees in the province, raising more than $940,000 over the past 30 years from their annual dinner banquets and fundraising auctions. The very first dinner was held in 1987 in the Kerrobert Memorial Hall. The banquet and auction have raised upwards of $40,000 a year, this year making over $50,000.

This outstanding contribution wouldn't have been possible if not for the hard working dedicated committee members of Kerrobert's Ducks Unlimited. 5 volunteer members were recognized on March 31 for their years of passionate service.

Dan Schell, Jim Wilson, Richard Anderson, and Mike Bichel were all honored for their 30 years of service, and were all key members of the first Kerrobert Ducks Unlimited executive committee. Larry Seversen has been involved with the local organization since his youth and was thanked for his 25 years of commitment.

Many of the men are avid hunters and fishers, and joined to help conserve wildlife so that their grandchildren may grow up to see these magnificent creatures. Whatever their reason, they have done a great service for the people and wildlife of Saskatchewan.
