According to a release from the Saskatchewan Health Authority,

"One of the benefits of this addition to the pharmacy is state-of-the-art equipment allowing pharmacy technicians to safely mix chemotherapy drugs on site, which will prove highly beneficial for oncology patients in the area. The upgrades allow the facility to maintain National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Association standards while allowing for more streamlined and efficient processes in the delivery of chemotherapy services. The Kindersley and District Health Centre is home to one of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency’s 16 Community Oncology Program Saskatchewan (COPS) sites. COPS trained nurses and pharmacy technicians, who completed training to use the new equipment, are excited to utilize the new equipment and space, which allows them to provide high quality health care services to patients in the area."

This upgrade was made possible thanks in part to a generous donation from Donnie Donald of Brock Saskatchewan, as well as support from the Kindersley Hospital itself and the Wellness Foundation.
