The Kindersley Chamber of Commerce finished up their second annual Scavenger Hunt and announced the winner on the weekend.

Around 2 dozen people joined in this year’s week long hunt. The turnout was much better than last year’s two day scavenger hunt, which had four people take part because the event was more last minute.

Every participant was given a booklet which could be stamped by either answering a specific question or by finding an object at each of the businesses who took part. Those who received a stamp from every business were entered in to win 23 prizes.

The purpose of the hunt is to promote local businesses, encouraging residents of Kindersley to shop in town as opposed to in other communities.

Kindersley resident Rhonda Gasmo was this year’s big winner, taking home nearly 500 dollars in gift cards, and several other prizes from local businesses.

Kindersley’s Chamber of Commerce Office Manager Heather Wall talked about the involvement of the Kindersley businesses.
