In minor hockey the Kindersley Bulldogs hockey team had a busy weekend with a tournament in Dodsland and one game in Leader to cap off the weekend. In the first of three games on Saturday, Kindersley won 7-4 over the Biggar 2 team. Then in the second games the Bulldogs lost to the Dodsland White squad, 8-5. And finally Kindersley played Rosetown and fell 10-5 to finish off their Saturday in Dodsland. The Bulldogs weren’t quite done there as the team traveled to Leader and played the Leader Red team. The final score was 10-3 for Leader to wrap up the weekend for the Bulldogs with 1 win and 3 losses.


In other minor hockey action the Kindersley Atom Lynco Hot Oiler Kobras had a busy weekend as well, playing in a two day tournament in Kerrobert. The Kobras played all 4 teams in a round robin including a win over Dodsland and three losses to Shaunavon, Kindersley 1 and Kerrobert. The Kobras placed fourth landing them in the B final against Shaunavon, and unfortunately lost. The Kobras next action is tonight against Kerrobert at the Kerrobert Memorial Arena once again, puck drop is 6 pm.


The Kindersley Full Tilt Atom Klippers had a quiet weekend with just one game on the schedule. The Klippers won 12-2 over the Unity Lazers White team on Saturday with Dayson Kosolofski leading the way for the Klippers with 5 goals and an assist and Jack Thiessen was right behind with 4 goals and an assist in the victory. Next action for the Klippers is a road game against the Southwest Warriors in Fox Valley this Saturday at 3 pm.


And finally the Big Rack Vac Prairie Thunder had a busy weekend with three games on the home schedule. First up were the Kindersley Atom 1 team and the final score was 15-0 for the Atom 1 team. Then on Saturday the Thunder battled the Dodsland Atom team and fell in a close match up, 3-2. And finally on Sunday the team played the Rosetown Atom team and was victorious, 7-3 to finish the weekend at 1-2. Iralyn Calkins, Laney Lavallee, and Claire Kosolofski each had two goals for the Thunder in the victory over Rosetown.
