The Town of Rosetown held its monthly meeting back on Monday. One of the main topics up for discussion was the changes being made to the water bylaw. Rosetown CAO Darcy Olson explains the upcoming changes.

"One of the largest things discussed (at the meeting) is we made changes to our water bylaw; it doesn't take effect until January 1. But it is to move us towards a monthly billing, away from the by-monthly billing."

Also of note from the meeting was announcement of changes of times and dates to Monthly Committee Meetings.

"Now the Administration Committee is going to meet on the first Monday at noon. And the Recreation Commitee is going to meet on the second Monday at 6:00 pm, and the Public Works Commitee is going to meet on the second Monday at 7:00 pm," Olson added.

This will come into effect on September 1.

Olson also welcomed everyone to the Town BBQ Party which will be held this evening at the Rosetown Town Office.

"It's Council's annual thank you to the citizens to the Town of Rosetown, and all the volunteers of the Town. You can stop by at the Town Office anywhere from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, you can come and have a free burger, and a pop and chips. There is a silver collection for the Food Bank which will be setup, but everything is free."
