As part of Phase 4.2 of Saskatchewan's Re-opening plan, theatres and performing arts groups will be allowed to get back to business.

That means that local dinner theatre groups will be able to resume their productions, so long as they are in a comfortable position to do so.

We reached out to Judy Lavoie, who runs the Kindersley Players group, and asked what their plans are for the foreseeable future. Judy said that the Players will be doing a dinner theatre next spring, so for now, they are focusing on picking the play itself. Rehearsal is expected to begin this fall.

The Kindersley Players are also hoping that they will be able to perform their Shoctober Haunted House event for Halloween, but are currently waiting to hear what the restrictions will be.
Meanwhile, the head of the Rosetown Community Theatre group, Max Linklater, stated that they don't have anything planned for this fall, due in part to the cancellation of Rosetown's Annual Harvest Festival. Linklater stated that they may begin working on their 2021 spring play earlier this year, and that nothing will happen until September at the earliest.
