The annual Burstall Fuels Motorcycle Poker Rally went off without a hitch last Saturday, for hundreds of kilometres of sightseeing.

Things got started with registration at 11:30 a.m. with kickstands up at 1 p.m., travelling across the border to stop at several 'hidden gems.'

Darrell and Pam Fitterer own Burstall Fuels, a gas bar with homemade food and treats, beautiful antiques and collectibles.

"We go to different destinations that people don't usually see," said Darrell. "We try to make it exciting. and we get people from all over the province [attending]."

The crew drove to Empress, Cereal and Buffalo Campground in Alberta before looping back to Burstall for a home cooked roast with salads, made by Pam. The 315 kilometre route took them about five hours to complete, with the furthest rider in attendance coming from Tobin Lake, Sask.

"Get out and see the province and all these little places," added Darrell. "They have lots to offer."

Anyone who missed this year's event can catch the next one set for May 25, 2025 -- and keep an eye out for more events to come this summer.
