This year advanced voting is now an option for all eligible voter, unlike past election were voters had to sign a declaration stating why you had to vote in advance. Due to this there is now an estimated 800,000 voters eligible to vote early, and the was a much larger rush of voters going to 173 advanced polling location they have spread out over the province. Several of which have 2 or 3 ballot boxes instead of the usual 1. Roughly 50% more voters are turning up this year compared to last election.

Advanced voting began on March 29th and election day is Monday April 4th. The advanced polling locations are open at 3 and access to them is open for a total of 35 hours in total before the election. Although there are so many more voters is certainly enough ballots for everyone and line-ups are common around 2:30 so some may want to wait until are 4 or 5 to vote.

Despite so many voters turning out early this year the voting location came prepared with extra staff and 24 separate back-up teams ready to spring into action with extra ballot boxes and manpower at a moments notice. Of these back-up teams, 18 of the 24 were in Regina and Saskatoon.
