Poll Results: West-central picking Canada to win the Stanley Cup

Judging by our poll posted earlier in the week, west-central Saskatchewan is looking for a Canadian team to finally bring home the Stanley Cup. 

Posted on Tuesday, the Edmonton Oilers had the biggest piece of the pie. The Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Maple Leafs both received the second most amount of votes. The Vancouver Canucks also finished with one vote, joining the New York Rangers, Vegas Golden Knights, Boston Bruins, and Colorado Avalanche as other teams receiving votes.

The Edmonton Oilers are the leading pick in the recent poll

The majority of the crowd felt that Vancouver and Edmonton have the best chance out of Canadian teams, as a second round matchup could potentially be on the horizon. 

Winnipeg received a little more love than Toronto to place third

Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Vancouver are all back on the ice Friday night with their series tied up 1-1. Toronto resumes things on Saturday, currently down 2-1 in their series.

Will an American team win the cup again this year? 16 teams making the postseason tends to stack the odds against Canada, but four solid shots again this year have caused for a renewed hope in bringing the cup back home.
