The town of Elrose had their population double over the weekend. The town hosted their annual sports day on Saturday. Baseball teams of all ages came out to enjoy the sunshine and participate in friendly competition.

When children weren't on the diamond they kept themselves busy with free activities like swimming, jumping in the bouncy castles, or heading out on a train ride. There was definitely no shortage of things to do in between games.

The busiest diamond of the day was where the men's Fertile Valley Baseball League's games were taking place. The Elrose Aces hosted a best of three series with the Rosetown Angels. The Angels managed to win all three of their games against Elrose and the Outlook River Hawks.

After a day of playing for fun the Fertile Valley Baseball Leagues teams will be back to their regular season games this week. Tonight the Outlook River Hawks will take on the Kindersley Royals 2 in Kindersley at 7pm.
