Rosetown's long term care project is making strides as yesterday's fundraising auction was a success.

Organizer and Chair for the Foundation, Marcel Dubois was a bit nervous for the turn out, but with 317 register voters nerves could be put aside.

The live auction raised a total of $18,000 and numbers from the silent auction and food sales are still being tallied.

The Health Care Foundation was hoping to raise anywhere from $35,000 to $50,000 order to help in the building of the new 54 bed long term care facility.

The auction was held at the Rosetown Arena and bidders had a chance to view items all day. Everything from travel vouchers, signed hockey jerseys and a even a toilet were just some of items up for grabs.
Over 150 items were donated by business's and residents and Kramer Auctions gave their time to help with event.

It is still not to late to give and to donate to the foundation call Betty Groves at 882-2187.
