Many residents of Rosetown and area were expecting rain this Saturday but no one was expecting the reported 2 to 3 inches in such a short time! When this happens culverts cannot keep up, streets become flooded and so do basements. West Central Online spoke with many people of Rosetown who are now mopping up and waiting for their streets to be cleared.
Rosetown crews began early this morning unplugging drains. Even though Rosetown received a lot of rain, Biggar residents report receiving only 1/2 inch. Kerrobert as well did not receive much rain at all.
