A shortage of available campsites at Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park appears to be spurring a pilot project maxing out campground stays.

The project will see 54 sites in the Sagebrush campground limited to a maximum 14-night stay from today through the Labour Day Weekend.

Greg Murphy, Associate Deputy Minister of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport, explains that they have heard concerns about campers booking sites long-term and staying only a short time in them.

Murphy adds if the pilot is successful, they may expand it to the other Provincial Parks.
