From Kindersley RCMP:

On Monday September 16th, 2016 at 4:37 p.m. Kindersley RCMP received a 911 call of a two vehicle collision with entrapment approximately 4 kilometres East of Kindersley on the #7 Highway.

A Grader heading East was turning off the 7 Highway onto a grid road when an East bound Semi Tractor attempted to pass the Grader as it was turning off the highway. The Semi then collided into the Grader causing the Semi driver to become entrapped.

Kindersley Fire was called to scene to free the Semi driver, help clear up leaking fluids from the vehicles and direct traffic.

There were no injuries in the collision and further investigation revealed the driver of the Semi attempted to pass the left turning Grader in a no passing zone (double solid line) and at the time of the collision the Graders rear left signal was on and functioning.

The driver of the Semi was charged under the Traffic Safety Act for Passing a vehicle in an intersection while unsafe to do so which carries a fine of $230.00.
