Some more snow will linger around the west central area heading into Friday, before things cool down in the evening. But some good news is on the horizon, as things will warm up on Sunday. Environment Canada meteorologist Terri Lang explains.

“This system itself is weakening and exiting, so we'll see the snowfall taper off. There is another band of precipitation that's forecast to come through in the overnight period into early parts of tomorrow.”

As for warmer weather, it looks like some is coming up after a chilly Saturday.

There is some warming coming just because there's a weather system that's moving out of the Mackenzie Valley and it'll move more towards the Arctic. So, what happens is we get to put into a southerly flow and southwesterly flow of air and that usually puts us into the warmer temperatures.”
